The counselling service is primarily aimed at people registered in the federal states of Berlin and Brandenburg, since administrative guidelines that differ from state to state are often decisive in the law on foreigners.
Everyone seeking advice from other federal states should contact a counseling center in their federal state or contact the Ökumenische Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft Asyl in der Kirche (Ecumenical Federal Working Group for Asylum in the Church).
A directory of refugee counseling centers in Berlin and Brandenburg as well as numerous Berlin attorneys who take on mandates in asylum law and law on foreigners is available for download from the Berliner Flüchtlingsrat (Berlin Refugee Council).
